Messy Manasseh

"Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign... But did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, like unto the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel... also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger. And the LORD spake to Manasseh, and to his people: but they would not hearken. And when he was in affliction, he besought the LORD his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers, And prayed unto him: and he was intreated of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD he was God." 2 Chronicles 33:1-2,6,10,12-13

Sometimes affliction is necessary to get our priorities back in order. Manessah had to learn the hard way. Taken captive & left to only to himself & God. There in his barren & stripped state he humbled himself and sought The Lord.

Nothing escapes His sight & His Sovereignty demands all of us or nothing.  At what lengths will The Lord God have to go to attain our full attention?

Message from the mess

Earlier today my daughter was making her own lunch. Yeah, she thinks she's grown. Lol! 😜 Let's just say things didn't quite go her way. 😳 She comes to me distraught, crying, disappointed & in a panic. 😭 She dropped her bowl on the floor and it was EVERYWHERE! 😱

I calmed her down. Told her it was ok, accidents happen. I told her to do what she could and I would help her clean it up.

The Lord spoke to my heart in her moment of despair. She thought the mess was too big and there was no hope or help. We do the same thing from time to time. Truth is, LIFE IS MESSY! We weren't made to endure things alone. We were made to NEED One greater than ourselves!

It may take rock bottom before we realize we can't clean up our lives on our own but if we are willing to SURRENDER to Christ, turn from our vain ways and embrace Him, He HELPS clean us up!

Moral of the story:

LIFE IS MESSY BUT CHRIST CAN CLEAN US & OUR MESSES UP!!! Not without repercussion of our choices though but with the healing & helping Hand of God!

Happy Friday... The 13th

Happy Friday... The 13th!

A word to the superstitious:

"Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:" Colossians 2:8-10

Superstitious by definition means: "showing ignorance or the laws of nature and faith in magic or chance".

Magic is sorcery and is severely frowned & condemned upon by the Living God.

"And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, saith the LORD of hosts." Malachi 3:5

"And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life." Revelation 21:27

Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil." Proverbs 3:7

"Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore." Psalm 37:27

Serious Mistake. God use it for Your good!

If I had 1 regret & serious apology to make it is those those I've known before I surrendered to Christ.

Living like the world and still claiming Christ was a horrible misrepresentation of who He is & represents. So to all y'all who were thankful I wasn't "that kind of Christian", meaning one who didn't care about sin or the slew of derogatory names true followers of Christ are called... My deepest apologies!

I pray my false masquerade doesn't send your soul to hell! Jesus has real requirements! More than "head knowledge" of Him...

1- Deny yourself - Put Him 1st, keep Him there... Separate yourself from those who entice you to live opposite of His Word!

2- Carry your cross daily - Truly death to self must take place by His grace! Live in a new abundant life that doesn't end after your final breath here on earth.

3- Follow Christ - To follow Him means surrendering your own ambitions, desires, lusts and trading who you are to be His disciple; His disciplined student.

It's so much more than praying a prayer one time or saying "I believe in Jesus", even the "demons believe & tremble". I had to endure many hard trials in order for Him to truly captivate my heart, mind, body & soul... My complete being!

I'm still under construction & definitely not perfect. I make mistakes, I'm as human as you. The only difference is unless you've come to the foot of the cross in complete surrender, you still face eternal damnation; a place called hell created for satan & his demons.

If I could send this to all I've once known I would. Y'all knew "I believed in Jesus" but even I didn't know I must live for Him too. Please accept my apologies and of not already, have that serious "Come to Jesus Meeting" today!

Time is not promised, it's a gift. Don't delay, it may be too late!  I know I'm forgiven, I've been washed by His blood. I no longer face damnation, condemnation or eternal punishment... My heart wants the same for you!

Sin and the simplicity of the Gospel

Remember, it will not be the "act" of sin God will punish come final judgement. Rather, every soul that rejects His only begotten ...
