The Process we must know & Endure

The LORD said, "...I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them a heart of flesh. That they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God." Ezekiel 11:19-20

There is a process we all must endure to become like Christ. First we are drawn to Him by His Spirit, then we see the need for Him in our lives. Once we surrender to His call He takes our stony hearts and breaks them down to penetrate His seed of Love in our hearts. This is painful as He shows us who we are apart from Him. He gives us a new heart & His Spirit within us, so we are no longer hardened to the things of this world. We are allowed to see, hear, feel & do as He allows bit by bit. He breaks down our hardness so we can have a heart of flesh! Think about that!!! Flesh is PIERCEABLE!!! Which equals PAIN! We must know this to follow His will & ways. Our human nature won't allow us to do anything pleasing to Him on our own. We must be broken in order for Him to reign and acknowledge His Love & strength! Isn't that just fascinating! That He loves us where we are, but won't allow us to remain in our filth. His Love changes us! No longer who we once were, but we become a work in progress. Humility is required to break our human nature (carnality) Somebody stand in awe with me & shout this from the rooftops!!! No other can love us this way!

  2. That's awesome TB! There is only one way to find true peace, even in the midst of pain, and that is through Christ and the Cross.

The hardest for most people is simply admitting that they NEED Him. They may sincerely want the change to become new, but the gate to the narrow road leading to heaven is too tight to allow them and all their worldly baggage to fit through. Rather than simply laying all that extra weight down so they can fit through the gate, they walk away. Breaks my heart... :'(

Thank you for the reminder that though the pain hurts and seems unbearable at times, it is proof that I am still on that blessed narrow road!!
