Accountability and the Judgement Seat of Christ

"Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. For every man shall bear his own burden. Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith."
Galatians 6:1-10

Being a part of the Body of Christ holds great responsibilities! Everything we say & do has lasting implications. Each member is at a different stage in their walk. We must be careful not to judge others when they fall. None is higher than the next. If we see a brother/sister fall it is our duty to pick them up, encourage and strengthen them in the Lord. Help them to refocus on this glorious narrow road, and help them carry on.

"But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God." Romans 14:10-12

None of us are above reproach. Each stumbles and falls short (Romans 3:23). We must be sympathetic because in some way, shape or form; we are ALL flawed. By being there for others it helps us to carefully examine our own lives prayerfully and with the Word, the Lord makes known where we ourselves must improve! Instead of comparing our virtues to others moral blemishes let us take joy in knowing God hold us accountable for each action, word & choice made. He is the standard in which we are to compare ourselves not others.

Ahhhh, ACCOUNTABILITY!
"A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned." Matthew 12:35-37 Let us be edifying to one another, help one another carry their burdens! Our words can be strong, soft, harsh or gentle. If we are sharing as the Lord leads correction & edification will be received with grace & humility! If we are responding in the flesh, that's dangerous because it does more harm than good! "A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city: and their contentions are like the bars of a castle." Proverbs 19:10

"For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences." 2 Corinthians 5:10-11

Let us prayerfully go as the Lord leads, let Him bridle our tongues so His Word is received with grace & humility, not done on our own thoughts or intentions. We must be there for each other. After all, who are we? We too will give an account for all choices made before the Judgement Seat of Christ!
